This biographical account is a realistic portrait of not only the good things, but also the mistakes that were made during President Franklin Roosevelt’s first 100 days in office. In President-elect Barack Obama’s very first interview after winning against John McCain, he told “60 Minutes” he had enjoyed “a new book out about FDR’s first hundred days.”
Obama neglected to name the actual title or name of the author, and many assume it was this novel by Anthony J. Badger. Whether this is correct or not, President Obama has taken many cues and learned much from Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
